Allowing your members to switch between plans

Many subscription businesses allow their customers to switch to longer billing periods for a discount. There are a few reasons to do this:

  • The upfront cash can be used to acquire more customers, fueling growth.
  • Locking the customer into a longer billing cycle reduces cancellations.

If you want to allow your members to upgrade to longer billing cycles, follow these steps:

  1. Head to the admin dashboard and make sure you've created the plans you want to allow your members to switch between.
  2. Navigate to the Stripe Customer Portal settings.
  3. Replicate the settings below.
  1. Select the plans (which are Stripe Products) that you'd like to allow your customers to switch between.
  2. Click Save.
